The Zaydin Dudra Memorial Skatepark is the newest addition to the Don Bragg Sports Complex. It is a volunteer and donations-based community project with the goal of paying respects to a young skateboarder who lost his life in a motor vehicle accident (Zaydin Dudra), and to solve the issue of skateboarders and BMX riders not having a public space. Phase 1 is complete with a 50×50 concrete pad and three new fixtures from American Ramp Company. The project plans to expand with an additional 50×50 feet and more new fixtures, as well as donated fixtures, as soon as it is able to. This facility is open from 7:AM to 4:PM November 1st thru March 1st, and until 11:PM the rest of the year.
This skate park was possible through donations made in the memories of local skaters Zaydin Dudra and Cody Harrison, as well as volunteer hours and donations from countless private individuals in the community. This skatepark was also funded by the following local sponsors: ABC SUPPLY, I’LL TUMBLE FOR YOU, ELITE GP, PBD PAINTING, CHINA PAVILION, SKETBORT!, DUMB RECORDS, AMITY, BEHIND LOCKED DOORS, SPECIALIZED HEARING SOLUTIONS, IMPULSE VAPE & GLASS, MILES T-SHIRTS, SYDNEY LYNN’S LITTLE BOOKSHOP AND VINYL, TAYLORVILLE CORRECTIONS LOCAL 3653, THE CORK AND KEG, ALCALCA AUTO SPORTS, STORM FAB AND POWDER COATING, HILLTOP HAVEN B&B, FOREVER YOURS TATTOO STUDIO, R & B PETERS CONSTRUCTION, as well as several anonymous sponsors.
